Athens Boys Choir – the stage name of Harvey Katz, a jewish pansexual man & homo hip hop/spoken word/lo-fi artist. His wordplay is very clever, catchy, and politically based. Listen to “f*gette” which came out in 2008 and he actually raps about being trans and uses the term pansexual! “The metrosexual threw off my gaydar” is another great song!

Black Dresses – indie noise pop collaboration between two trans wlw solo artists, Girls Rituals and Rook. Their entire debut album “WASTEISOLATION” (2018) is about being transgender and gay in todays violently homophobic and transphobic world. I recc “THOUGHT AND PRAYERS” in particular.

Girls Rituals – the stage name of Devi McCallion, who i think also sometimes goes by Dizzy. She’s half of the noise pop duo black dresses & a wlw solo experimental electronic artist. Most of her music is on spotify, but she’s also on bandcamp here.

Jake Edwards – gay youtuber & pop artist. His newest album “Pink + Blue” was released this year, and “Pink & Blue” and “You can’t tell me (i’m not a man)” are both very relatable queer songs. I also really like “Second Puberty.” He recently made a video with his partner and its very sweet and cute to watch!!

Laura Jane Grace – wlw frontwoman of punk rock bands Against Me! and Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers. She’s also working on a solo album i think! She briefly dated fellow queer french-canadian musician Cœur de Pirate. Listen to “transgender dysphoria blues” and “true trans soul rebel.”

Left at London – on tumblr @leftatlondon, Nat Puff is probably best known for a bunch of her viral vines, but she’s a lesbian and recently released a new ep this year, “transgender street legend vol. 1.” Her voice is so lovely and the music is catchy as hell. “Revolution lover” has been stuck in my head ever since the first time i heard it. Her music is on spotify but she also has a bandcamp.

MowMowMow – on tumblr @mowmers, her music isnt on spotify yet but her bandcamp can be found right here. She’s a wlw synth pop artist and producer! Her latest album “Cryptid” looks super interesting and her voice is gorgeous. “Queer Kids” is a great and super catchy song and the album is only 7$ and you know you’re supporting a great artist! Also, her name is Bug? How cute is that?

Sateen – married queer electronic/disco duo composed of Miss Queen Sateen & Exquisite! They first rose to fame in New York as a “hetero drag couple” before Exquisite came out as a trans lesbian. Miss Queen Sateen is also pansexual! Their self titled EP is beautiful and i really reccomend listening to “Blacklisted.“ Miss Queen Sateen acts as vocalist and Exquisite is the instrumentalist and producer.

Schmekel – all transgender, all jewish trans-core folk punk band. Their name means “Little Penis” in Yiddish. The band consists of Vocalist/Guitarist Lucian Kahn, Keyboardist/ Vocalist Ricky Riot, Bassist Nogga Schwartz, and Drummer Simcha Halpert-Hanson. Simcha prefers not to be identified with gendered honorifics or pronouns and the rest of the band all use he/him pronouns. Lucian is a gay trans man! Listen to “genderqueer love song”, “gay shame”, “ftm at the dmv” and “new men with old man names.”
