So, a few weeks ago, something rather unfortunate happened.

My grandmother (82) had to go to the hospital for an extended stay. There were a lot of medical complications and problems, but for the most part she’s doing much better. We’re planning on moving her closer to family so she will have people to look after her. It’s going to be a long process, but we’ve got that under control.

However, something that has been deeply upsetting for her and everyone, has happened. While she was in the hospital, we hired a woman to come in and help get everything cleaned up and organized. This woman took it as an opportunity to steal most of my grandmothers possessions. Clothing, furniture, family albums, her jewelry collection and, believe it or not, my aunt and grandfather’s urns and ashes!

The gall of this bitch! What she didn’t take for herself, she sold. We are working to try to get back as much as we can from anyone who came to the garage sale, but it’s a slow process and we just don’t think we’re gonna get much back.

We’re dealing with this the best we can, but something else she took was boxes worth of ornaments my grandmother has been collecting for decades! She had them from just about every state, including Alaska and Hawaii. She had Christmas ornaments from Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Venezuela, Australia, France, Russia, Ireland, Germany, Puerto Rica, my grandmom collected from everywhere she visited! And they’re all gone. All of them.

I’d like to do something special for her this holiday. When I was growing up, we had a tree that scraped the top of the vaulted ceiling in the “nice” living room. It was covered. Every branch was piled till it bowed with ornaments from all over the world. I used to love decorating that tree. It meant so much to the family and to know all those ornaments are gone hurts everyone.

!!~I AM NOT ASKING FOR MONEY~!!

What I would like to do is collect ornaments for her to start her collection again. I’d like to send them to her before Christmas so she has something to look forward to. This has been a real blow to her soul and she’s pretty much seen her life go up in smoke.

!!~I would like to take up an ornament collection! ~!!

If any of my followers would like to help, please just buy an ornament! It doesn’t matter what it is or where it is from. You can make her one if you’d like! You can buy one on-line! You can find a goofy one in the store! You can find a really nice one from Hallmark! Anything works!

INTERESTED?

*Send me a message letting me know you’d like to buy an ornament!

*Show me a pic of said ornament! (Please no Bag O’ Balls)

*I will send you an addy to ship it to!

*I will be sending my grandmother a care package in Dec with all your lovely contributions!

I know this is asking a lot from people. Even just a small ornament helps. It doesn’t have to be big or expensive or hand engraved or anything like that. She collected from all over the world and I’d love to be able to give her pieces from anywhere and everywhere. I will take on the cost of shipping everything to my grandmother, along with the ornaments I will buy her.

DON’T KNOW WHAT TO GET? ~!~WISHLIST~!~

Thank you so much for taking a moment to read this through! I deeply appreciate any help you can offer. This has been a rough month for us and I’d like to shine a little a bit of hope back into her life.

!~HAPPY HOLIDAYS~!

!~MERRY CHRISTMAS~!

!~HAPPY HANUKKAH~!

!~BLESSED YULE~!

!~HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE~!

and to everyone else

!~HAVE A NICE DAY~!

no offense but i need everyone to stop saying that “we survived” bad presidents before. like, i get it, the country has weathered people like andrew jackson and ronald reagan and will probably weather trump. but when you say “we survived” andrew jackson? tell that to the 4000 (of 16000) cherokee who died on the trail of tears. “we survived” ronald reagan? tell that to the 650,000 americans who have died of aids– a national health crisis which reagan refused to even recognize?

you know who “survived” presidents like trump? people who never had to be afraid of them in the first place.

This is my cat, Brigitte.

24 hours after I brought her home, I got a mindblowing job offer.  Since I adopted her nine years ago, my life has become an amusement park.  She has brought me good luck ever since I took her into my home.

I’m telling you, there’s something about this animal.  Good fortune follows her everywhere.

I don’t want to be selfish.  I have everything I need and then some.  So, I’m sharing her with you.

Reblog Brigitte and you’ll receive fantastic news in the next 24 hours.

And when you do, please remember to help your local SPCA and support them in the difficult work they do for wonder animals like Brigitte.  Any donation helps your SPCA, even if it’s just five bucks.

Kitties like Brigitte are counting on you to give back when they bring you good luck.

Thanks, and congratulations on your good news!

we out here spreading those Lucky Cat Vibes™®

I could use some luck

This is something I try to tell so many of those who may disagree with me. It doesn’t matter if you are conservative or liberal, if you aren’t extremely wealthy, you are being screwed by the current political system that adores the rich and corporations at the expense of those who work their entire lives just to exist.

positivedoodles:

I’ll be retiring my packs of surreal positive doodles + my flower-themed doodle collection from gumroad at the end of the month to make room for new products, so if you want to get them, you have until December 1st, and you can do so here.

Note: My comic “Magic Powers” will still be available.
